Day 2 in New York City—-gorgeous day!
Today I planned to meet an old friend in New York, and we were meeting in the Garment District . . . West 37th, West 39th, etc. Right in the “Fashion District”!
The best store, in my opinion, is M & J Trims—-big store, ALL TRIMS! Sorry to shout, but gosh!
Did some window shopping before going in, while waiting for my friend, and I saw ribbons:
and trims:
glitzy stuff:
and buttons:
Whatta store!! This time I knew the routine and went straight to the button section and started pulling out some boxes. These are what I bought—-they’re all new, and again, tending toward fashion or glitz . . . and fun.
After my friend and I checked out our purchases, we headed toward Pret a Manger on 36th & 5th for a quick lunch. Yum.
Then we really needed a good sitdown to catch up on news so we went to Bryant Park adjacent to the New York Public Library.
There’s a pretty little grill to eat inside
but the weather was absolutely perfect and we sat outside. Wouldn’t you know? there was an ice cream kiosk, too . . .
Can you find my friend and me in this photo?
well, that’s a little joke—it’s a poster.
Beautiful day, beautiful tulips–
Join me tomorrow for Part 3 of my trip to New York City . . .
