Yesterday I took out a bunch of buttons that are on their
original cards.
I like to collect them for their graphics. I noticed that although I
have a few with photos of couples, many of my button cards have
an unattached woman or man. Can’t have that! Let’s pair them up.
I have four cards with couples. I like the “pharmacy” one because it
reminds me of how O’Half and I met. I wonder when the artist of the
little design decided to add in another couple at the drugstore fountain . . .
As usual, folks, you can click to enlarge photos and all photos have the
booksandbuttons copyright!
This next pair is on a card labeled “GO-it”. huh? But they seem happy
enough together:
I don’t know—-maybe he’s cute enough to go a step higher and find
a cheerleader . . .(or would that be a step down? heh-heh)
On the “sports scene” these two seem to deserve each other:
But the ABC cuties win it for most likely to succeed! Can you just
imagine what their kids will look like?
OK—now, let’s get to work. I’m going to give you a list of TEN women
who might be looking for a mate for life. I’ve kind of nicknamed them and
you’ll be able to refer to them by that name, too—-or maybe you’ll have
a name of your own. (family friendly) You’ll probably want pencil & paper . . .
1. looking for fun
2. ethereal
3. tired mother
4. sniff!
5. orange coat—-remember her? old post– “On the Road to Fashion”
6. pretty lady Washington
7. her sister!
8. Bonnie
9. cinderella
10. blue anchor—-also starring in–old post– “On the Road to Fashion”
as you look at photos, remember that in the NEXT post, I’ll furnish
the men for these gals—and you can pair them up!
You can think about these button card ladies overnight and tomorrow
we’ll bring on the men!
Can’t wait to check out the guys, and your nicknames for them.
Bring ’em on!
They’re waiting in the wings. This is rough work,
but someone has to do it. Small glitch has appeared
on the scene, too—–!
Romance is never easy — but is there a complication in matching up the button people?
Hm, yes, so true. And, yes, there is a little trouble
in paradise. You’ll see why soon . . . stay tuned.
Hi — A neighbor asked me today if I had eight matching white buttons because she wants to change the buttons on a blouse she just bought. (She knew I would.) And yes, course I did, and she found the size/color she wanted. Though now I’m sorry I didn’t have any of these great button cards to go with the buttons.
Weren’t you a good neighbor!
