Whee! and we’re off with a good mystery, a good romance,
and a good yarn–all in one book. Did someone say summer reading?
A longtime friend, Ann Hallum, has written a book and it has
just been published. It’s a lovely little romp of a book–
Mystic Secrets — and it’s available now on Amazon
and also on Kindle . . .
You know Mystic, right? That’s Mystic, Connecticut with a working
drawbridge right in the center of town. It goes up and down to
accommodate the tall schooners that come in and out of the river
harbor. The blurb on the cover hints that death comes to the
drawbridge . . .
Mystic is visited by many, many tourists each year. You know the
old movie Mystic Pizza, right? The Mystic Seaport Museum? same
town. Even if you’ve never visited—you can when you read Mystic
Secrets. It’s an unexpected setting for a murder related to rare
foreign antiquities. Throw in the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, trips
to Manhattan and a few red herrings and I think you’ve got a
mystery on your hands.
