Buttons from Butternut Shells

We’ve been on vacation–and thought you’d like to see
these unique buttons made from . . .butternut shells!

Looks like they were carefully sliced through–I wonder how
many were broken before the craftsperson got some good ones!
I think they are fun because I have good memories of using
butternut meats in homemade fudge when I was growing up.
