The Frog, The Frog

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.  Am finishing up Froggy.
As you’ll see from the photos . . .

he begins to look like a frog.  I’m embroidering his little mouth:

I was looking through my new 2016 calendar– at the pictures– and
L&B! look what was featured in July!

Well, can’t really use it for inspiration because Froggy never
looked like THAT!  But maybe the next frog I make, I’ll—–
what? there won’t be a next frog.  Isn’t he great?  Look at those
feet.  As my mother used to say about her pet parakeet–
“I try not to look at his feet.”  Looks like he’s wearing rubber

Next I bent the legs and “tacked” them and marked his webbed
toes and had to decide about his eyes.  The pattern calls for
embroidered eyes with the satin stitch.  But I’m thinking
buttons (Why not?)–but WHICH buttons?

These aren’t sewn in yet, but might be the choice.  And he still
needs one more feature.  Can you guess what?

In the meantime there’s a pretty good puzzle going downstairs.

See ya!

Buttons, definitely buttons–perhaps even a double button, so that he has pupils?
As for the “one more feature “…does he get a heart, like a Raggedy Ann doll?

Hi Buttondeb–I have to be careful adding too much—trying to keep
him simple like the old Froggy was . . .Good guess! (but incorrect)
      about the heart . . .
