We have about 5 inches of new snow. New England states have much more. But this is enough snow for Woody—-he loves it! Runs around, races around, makes circles, digs his nose in to eat fresh snow. Well, he’s a Shetland Sheepdog and I guess he thinks he’s back in the Shetland Islands.
But wait! Is that an extra pair of legs in the next photo? Not Other Half, but another pair?
Yes. There are extra legs. And they are Skipper’s legs. We are taking care of our daughter’s black lab until July. (Only 147 more days).
Now Skipper is a Tallahassee kind of fellow and isn’t all that fond of this cold white stuff. Oh, he did a couple of lopes around in the snow playing with Woody, but his heart is really fixed on GETTING INTO THE HOUSE if at all possible.
They are funny to watch together–different personalities. Skipper likes a good tug-of-war with a stuffed animal. Woody has no interest in grabbing the other end of the stuffed animal, but instead likes to tease and nip at Skipper—ear, hind leg, etc. They wrestle around and after awhile even Skipper’s patience is at an end and he makes a dive for Woody. Then all of Woody’s bravado disappears as he comes running to hide under the table near me . . .
This morning I also have some views out the upstairs windows—I like to look as far away as I can, over hill and dale. It’s pretty and I like snow.
The dogs are both so cute, it’s hard to choose between them!
