I brought four books with me to read on this mini vacation . . .
I put Beethoven’s Hair in my carry-on bag–might as well get that
book club selection started. But at the last minute, I switched it for
Someday, Someday, Maybe–a chick lit book –girl gives herself a
time line of three years in New York to become an actress.
I changed my mind because I wondered if the flight might make me
a little queasy and who wants to be thinking about Beethoven’s hair?
I needn’t have brought a single book along because this house is full of
books. Oh, yeah? you say. Yes, I say. In the guest room where I’m
sleeping there are these shelves:
and on other side of the room:

and at the top, what’s
that great book of Girls’
Book of Heroines? Must explore that one! ©booksandbuttons
s-t-i-l-l one more bookshelf in “my” room:
what a tour. and here I am with Someday, Someday, Maybe. Next
post we’ll see if there’s anything to read in the rest of the house!
Don’t you love reading other people’s bookshelves? Not necessarily the books, just the shelves….
so true
I have a set of old metal buttons ( that are from a uniform I think) and would like to find out more about them. Can you tell me where I could send photos to get an appraisal, please..
I would start with a reference book at the library. But there are
many, many metal uniform buttons –and might be difficult to identify.
Maybe you could look on ebay and search for metal uniform buttons.
If you found a dealer that seemed to have a strong background in
selling uniform buttons, you might contact him or her. Good luck!
