We went–O’Half and I–to a high school graduation ceremony
in Florida. Lovely, even though it involved a thousand miles of
driving on Route 95 North/South.
Woody stayed at his “spa” and got a glowing report card of being
a ‘good and handsome boy’–and he’s now home with us.
We essentially have no internet–modem poor—whichever box that
is–and a dent in the service pole on the street affecting our
internet service–so you may receive this offering or not, but we
have high hopes for a repair in the morning.
Just to let you know we’re back—hope you’ve been reading great
stuff. Me, too.
Well, welcome back! Glad it was a good trip and Woody was a good boy. I’m reading Peter Ackroyd’s “Tudors”. It isn’t summer reading but I’m enjoying it! I plan to look over your summer list and other lists and find some nice new reads for this summer. Best wishes on the internet returning!
Hi Mary Jo—thanks for comment. I don’t think
I’ll be adding “Tudors” to my summer list . . .
but glad you’re enjoying it—you Anglophiles!
Offering received–and welcome home!
Have been reading Bill Bryson “I’m A Stranger Here Myself: Notes On Returning To America After Twenty Years Away”.
Very funny, and perfect summer fare.
Oh, Gosh–maybe I have to add that to my
reading list! As well as the new book by Lisa
Scottoline and her daughter: Does This Beach Make
Me Look Fat?
That’s a lot of driving! It’s always nice to be back home but how frustrating to return and find you have no internet!
well, it’s all fixed now–it was the modem
or the router or the alternator or something . . .
